I ordered lunch for myself and clients. I ordered from the night before. For myself I ordered the veggie monster wrap. The price for everything was very affordable. The restaurant delivered everything on time. I had to go to the restaurant because I needed to get a receipt that was missing from them and the spot was spacious for dine in. When I got in I ate and the food wasn't bad at all. They put a little too much hummus for my liking but the flavors was pretty good. I didn't finish it all because the hummus was overwhelming but it did taste good. All in all everything was cool.
The Great Wazu is one of those staple sandwich shops that is always consistent and has the nicest workers. My sister and I went after a long day of shopping (it’s conveniently located in a shopping center with a Homegoods) and our sandwich was delicious.
We ordered a large tuna with lettuce and tomato and split it between us both and it was plenty big and packed with tuna. The sandwich was about ~$30 if my memory serves me correctly but came with a heaping pile of pickles too! We also got 2 fountain sodas (with free refills) and a bag of chips. The price seemed steep but again we were splitting it so it’s comparable to other sandwich shops in the area.
The gentleman who took our order was super nice and friendly (and patient), and the guy who rang us up had a quick friendly conversation as well.
We ate inside and it’s a time capsule of an old sandwich shop. It’s lined with booths on both sides and plenty of seating. The decor could be updated a bit (the pictures on the wall were small art pieces), but again, we weren’t there for the decor.
All in all, highly recommend the Great Wazu for your lunch sandwich order!
By far the best subs in north Jersey. I know this place is in existence for maybe 25 or when 30 years and the have it through the pandemic and the dwindling lunch crowd from remote working. This speaks volume to how the good the food and service are. Whenever I'm in the area, this is a mandatory stop for lunch. All the food are excellent but I'm a sub person. The place is always clean, well lit and inviting to sit and enjoy your meal. The customer service is amazing, the owner is there everyday and he's friendly and hands on making subs. Other workers are also welcoming. Highly recommend the tuna and turkey and cheese. They never disappoint with the portion of meats.
New to the area and kept passing this place mainly, because I didn't know it was there. But let me tellllll you! AMAZING New York deli style sandwiches. Very clean establishment. When I went a gentlemen wearing a red shirt and bald head was happily tidying up. Shot out to James and Salvatore, whose powerful names match their powerful customer service. My sandwich was made with so much care, got a number 9. I can't wait to go back, nuff said.
The best sandwiches I've ever had. I'd slap my own mother for a #2 all the way, on rosemary parmesan bread, basil mayo on the side.
Great roast beef, nice and rare. 3 stars not 5 because my last few orders have not been accurate. I always ask for salt and they never add it. They also forgot Mayo, oil and vinegar on several occasions. I also ordered a roll and ended up with a sub. They need to be more careful with reading the notes on delivery and pickup orders. A dry sandwich without Mayo and oil and vinegar is a huge bummer, as you can see with todays Turkey order. There is no dressing on this at all, I had to add my own Mayo and it really needs the oil and vinegar to tie it together flavor wise.
This weekend I visited a relative who ordered takeout lunch from here. My walnut Cranberry chicken sandwich was absolutely delicious and too big to finish in one sitting. We all enjoyed our sandwiches.
James and mason were amazing! Wonderful personalities and service!
The food was good to lol..
